Threshing time

The harvested stalks of grain go through threshing. 30 sacks of palay and a mountain of dayami (hay) is what i have now. Tomorrow if the sun is up the palay will be dried under the hot sun.

Pineapple in a pot

Summer fever

The temperature in Manila ranges from 36 degrees centigrade to 37. The normal body temperature is 37 degrees. Very hot and humid days here. I am so grateful for the water in our faucets... there is still no news that water in the dams supplying our taps is running low.

Projects... one is ongoing. A cabinet counter for my 2nd kitchen.

Finished product soon to follow

Trees!

I am grateful....
For trees I bought today. I look forward to the day they will provide us shade and food at Pangasinan.

Guyabano, Avocado, Duhat, Chico, Neem, Kaimito, ... now if only I can remember which is which...

Sewing day

I have started tackling my loot of cheap fabrics from Divisoria at last. The curtain fabric is so sheer, sewing it is not easy. But progress is getting along.

The other day I finally finished applying polyurethane on the kitchen island Kuya Noel built. A neater kitchen is the result.

Divisoria Day

I spent the whole day at the bargain shopping district of Manila with my sister, but oh I feel bad that I forgot to take pictures of the place.
I bought almost 80 yards of fabric, half of which I carried almost 5 blocks back to my car. But the bargain was worth it.

It rained today

News says yesterday was the hottest day this year so far.
Rained poured a few minutes today, I guess just because of the accumulated heat. But now it so hot and humid again.

Clean up day

Spent most yesterday cleaning up my laptop and sorting out digital pics. Didn't realize it could be so tiring. And I still haven't finished the job!

An hour of the morning was spent lined up at bank to pay the Columns Association dues. Well,  at least that's one chore on the list finished.

That was taken November 29, 2010.

Books loot

I never buy brand new books to read. Not in my budget. I go to the local second hand bookstores and these are some of my loot
